About Attorney Tom Monk

Tom was born in Atlanta, Georgia, and grew up in rural South Georgia. He comes from a family that believes deeply in justice and the rights of the injured; his father and great-uncle were lawyers. He also has numerous cousins that are lawyers. Tom’s mother was a school teacher until her untimely death from an accident when he was very young. The accident was caused by the negligence of a railroad. Tom knows first hand how the loss of a loved one as a result of a mistake can devastate a family. This experience became the driving force behind Tom’s commitment to help the injured. After school, Tom spent 9 years working for three law firms in the Atlanta area where he handled a variety of personal injury and workers’ compensation cases before opening his own law firm. Tom’s goal is simply to seek justice for each of his clients, help their families cope with the difficulties caused by serious injury and obtain for them the maximum benefits the law allows.
